Obituary of Charles S. Yannizzi

Charles Stanford Yannizzi 74, of Pembroke, MA passed away on October 22, 2022 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

Charlie was born in Weymouth to Frank and Della Yannizzi on July, 6 1948. He graduated from Hull High School in 1966. He worked in Telecommunications at Boston University for 15 years. Prior to working at BU, Charlie was the plant manager for Zildjian Cymbal Company. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing and spending time at Nantasket Beach. He was a proud supporter of Rolling Thunder and took part in numerous charity rides.

Charlie is survived by his son and daughter in-law James and Anne Ladd of Middleboro, daughter and son in-law Jeanette and Ed Hull of Plymouth, daughter Melody Boothby of Harvest, Alabama, and daughter and son in-law Kristina and David Torrey of Pembroke. Charlie is also survived by his brothers Frank Yannizzi of Hull, John Yannizzi of Colorado, Sisters Della Kenyon of New York and Diane Thorne of Hingham. Charlie was grandfather to five grandsons Andrew Hornbaker, Austin Holmes, Connor Hull, Elijah Torrey, and Alan Boothby and to four granddaughters Jessica Ladd, Elizabeth Hull, Olivia Falbe, and Grace Torrey. He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanne Yannizzi, his father Francis Yannizzi and his mother Della Yannizzi. 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Hahn Home Health care, with special thanks to Indira and Rose for the care they provided Charlie and to the wonderful Nurses and cnas of Emerson 4 at South Shore Hospital.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd from 4-8:00 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston.
