Cindy (Maren Lucinda) Quine, 83, of Duxbury, MA, passed away on Sept. 14, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born to parents Willard and Ellen Slagle, on Nov. 12, 1938 in Boston, MA.​

As a graduate of Arlington High School, she went on to Penn Hall where she made life-long friends. She married her husband of 53 years, James Quine of Winchester, MA. They moved to Duxbury to raise their family and remained for 55 years.  ​

Cindy worked for many years in the Duxbury High School office and once her youngest graduated, moved on to Tufts Medical Center as an Executive Assistant.  

In more recent years made many friends volunteering at local animal shelters, working at local shops and helping neighbors and friends in need. She had a strong zest for life and refused to let a day go by without a bit of fun.​​

Cindy is survived by her sister, Bonnie Armstrong of Duxbury, MA, her brother George Slagle of Edinburgh, TX, her children Stephanie (Edward) Raftery of Kent, CT, Meredith (Peter) Murphy of Duxbury, MA, James (Noell) Quine of Stowe, VT and her grandchildren James Murphy, Kevin Murphy,  Ethan Quine,  Peter Murphy, Jr., Willow Quine, Elle Raftery, Daisy Quine, Maggie Raftery as well as the Armstrong and Quine nieces and nephews.​​

The family has entrusted Shepherd Funeral Home with the arrangements. A funeral service will be held at Pilgrim Church 404 Washington St. Duxbury on Thursday the 22nd  at 11am.
