Theresa Maria (Harshani) Flood, 82, a long-time resident of Plympton, MA, passed away on August 31st. She was born on June 12, 1942 to the late Samuel and Lillian (Stanborough) Harshani in Minola, NY. She lives in many different towns in the Northeast as her father trained race horses. Theresa graduated in 1958 from a high school in Rhode Island. In 1960, she married Christopher and had two children. Theresa worked for Grants, Commonwealth Shoe, Frenandes, and Hanover Bowladrome over the years. She ran the Miss and Mrs club with her mother during the 1960’s and 1970’s. Her favorite times were when we had our family gatherings that centered around food and just being together. Her family loved to add to her collections of tea cups, lighthouses, and salt & pepper shakers. Knitting, crocheting, puzzles, country music, Christmas, and rooting on the Boston sports teams were some of her many interests. Above all, Theresa loved her family and talked about all of us.
Theresa is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years Christopher Flood, Jr.; her loving daughter Colleen Flood; her brother Robert Harshani; her brother-in-law William King; her sister-in-law DeeDee; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Lillian (Stanborough) Harshani; her son Christopher Mark Flood; her sister Edna (Harshani) King; her brothers Thomas Harshani and Joseph Harshani; and her sisters-in-law Susan Capehart and Sherry Harshani.
