Patricia Person, Age 94

Sachem Center for Health & Rehabilitation, East Bridgewater, Mass.

Patricia passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, at Sachem Center in East Bridgewater, where she lived for the past few years.  She was born on March 9, 1928 to parents Pasquale D’Orlando and Mary Agnes Sullivan of Arlington.

Patricia joined the Marine Corp. during the Korean War and served domestically as a telephone operator.  While serving, she married Charles Peterson of Boston.  They had three children and were married until his death in 1990.

Patricia worked at Clayton’s Farm in Whitman for many years.  While her children were growing, she served as both a Cub Scout and 4-H leader.  She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved to feed family and friends.  After the death of her husband, Patricia retired to Rockledge, Florida, where she lived for a decade.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Souza, of Halifax.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Stephen Mattern of Plymouth; her son and 

daughter-in-law, Charles and Cathy Peterson, of Falmouth; and two grandsons, Michael Souza of Jacksonville, Florida, and David Mattern of Southampton, Mass.

Services will be private. Interment will be at Central Cemetery in Halifax.
