Obituary of Paul Michael Lanoue

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Paul Michael (Mike) Lanoue died on July 6, 2022 at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. He was surrounded by his family.

Mike was born in Brockton on January 12, 1949, the son of the late Clarence and Barbara (Carey) Lanoue. He is predeceased by three sisters;  Aloria, Elaine, and Claire Lanoue.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Doane) Lanoue and also by his son Sean Lanoue, his wife, Mellenie (Braley) Lanoue, and their daughter Addison. Additionally he is survived by his brother John (JJ) Lanoue, his sister Barbara (Lanoue) Moloney, his uncle James Carey, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mike graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1967, and attended Boston College, where he was a member of the ROTC.

Mike was employed for many years at the Lanoue Brothers Shoe Store in Brockton. When the store closed he went on to attend and graduate from Sullivan and Cogliano Technical School.

Mike worked for the computer firm Pencept, where he was awarded stock for his contributions. He worked for many years thereafter as an employee of BayBank in a technical capacity, installing and maintaining computer systems and ATMs throughout Southern New England. Mike remained with the bank through many acquisitions and name changes, and was a valuable group leader.

Mike was an avid handgun enthusiast and trophy-winning target shooter. He enjoyed many hours shooting with friends at the Holbrook Sportsman’s club and attended many social events there with friends and family.

Mike was a devoted Husband, Father, Father-in-Law and Grandfather. He was a very special advocate and guardian to his brother JJ, who called him Mikey and loved him dearly.

Mike leaves behind him many who loved him, and we keep him in our hearts and memories until we meet again.
