Jim was called home to his lord on Thursday June 9, 2022 at the age of 84. Jim was born in North Adams, MA and grduated from Taunton High School. He settled down in Norton for over 40 years before moving to Carver for the last 20 years of his life. Jim was an avid race car fan, drove stock cars as a young man and loved watching his favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt. The true loves of his life were his family, both blood and chosen. He was known by many names like Jim, Dad, Uncle and Grampafixit but his favorite thing to be called was GRAMPA. 

Jim worked for the Norton School District for over 40 years before retiring as the Director of Facilities. One of the things he was best known for is being a Jack-of-all-trades. Jim could fix anything, even if all he had was duct tape, wire ties and toggle switches. Jim was also a very active member of the United Parish of Carver Church for many years where he endeared himself to the members of the United Parish family.

Jim is survived his wife Carol (Gould) Neveu, his son Douglas James Neveu and wife Linda of So. Carolinia, his daughted Cheryl'Ann (Neveu) Rose of Norton, his son Bruce Carlton Neveu and wife Joyce of So. Carolinia, his stepson Roy Gould and wife Carey of Bourne and Heather (Gould) Bisson and husband Eric of Plymouth. Along with 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, he also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws which he loved dearly. Jim was preceded in death by Mildred Orr Geuttler, his brother Albert Neveu and his first wife Janet (McFarlane) Neveu.

A Memorial Service is planned for 9am July 7, 2022 at the United Parish of Carver Church with a coffee hour to follow. Burial will be at 1pm at the Mayflower Hill Cemetery, 235 Broadway Taunton, MA.
