Obituary of Liza Renee Higgins

Please share a memory of Liza to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Liza Renee Higgins of Kingston, MA. Born March 24, 1981, died May 24, 2022 at the age of 41.  Liza passed peacefully at home with family after battling a lifelong, chronic illness. A beloved daughter and sister, she was devoted to Jesus, her savior and constant friend. Liza was a happy baby and when asked how to describe herself as a child, would readily state “Very Happy!”  Though her adult life was marred by the strife of illness, her joy for life was apparent in her generosity, compassion, and how ever-quick she was to laugh.  Liza was also a keen crafter and letter-writer, often including with her message a personalized gift she had hand-made.

She cherished her Ladies Bible Studies group and diligently prayed for the needs and concerns of others.  When possible, she would visit Plymouth, a favorite spot to sit by the ocean, finding peace and restoration there.

Liza is survived by her mother Jane Anderson of Kingston, sister Joy Higgins of Graham NC, brother Andrew Higgins of Kingston, along with her grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  She will be especially remembered for her bravery, courage, resilience and strength.

A memorial service for Liza will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Restoration Community Church, 213 Main Street in Kingston, MA at 10:00am.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Paralyzed Veterans of America (https://pva.org) or Restoration Community Church (https://www.rcckingston.org).
