Richard Wonkka was my uncle. We lived on opposite coasts and our families rarely got to see each other. Our loss, I know, for my recollection is that he was brilliant & one of the few truly kind men I ever met. He took me to the lab at A-B & fostered a love of science. He was interested in us! A rare, lovely man with a wife (our Aunt Priscilla) & a large loving family to match, & who continue that legacy of genuine curiosity and caring.
