Jill Bostder, 89, of Duxbury, died on Tuesday, March 22nd after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Henry Bostder, loving mother of Sharon McNally and her husband Brian of Boston, Cynthia Neider and her husband Mitch of Boston and the late Thomas Walsh and his surviving wife Sheryl of Centerville. Devoted grandmother of Brooke Thurston, Geoff McNally, Dana McNally, Madeleine Neider, Jennifer Gaudette and Samantha Walsh. Adored great-grandmother of Claire, Pete, Christopher and Elle McNally; Hannah, Norah and Lauren Thurston; and Cam and Will McNally. She is also survived by her cherished step-daughter, Claudia Doherty of Newton, 5 nieces and nephews and a circle of loving friends
Jill was born in Cambridge, raised in Arlington, and attended Radcliffe College. She was a retail executive for many years, most of them spent at Bloomingdale’s in Chestnut Hill. In her later years, she was a dedicated and generous hospice volunteer and bereavement group leader.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on March 24th from 4-7 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 10 AM at Pilgrim Church of Duxbury, 404 Washington Street, Duxbury, MA. Burial will be private.
