Obituary of Theresa Eva MacDonald

Theresa Eva MacDonald, 92, of Halifax, MA., passed away at home, on February 2, 2022. Theresa was born on March 16, 1929 to John J. Drumgool and Eva M. Drumgool in Brockton, MA. Theresa graduated from St. Patricks High School in Brockton, MA. In 1947.

Theresa was employed at Egan DeYoung in Brockton, MA. as well as Halliday Lithograph in Plympton, MA for many many years before retiring. After retirement she enjoyed working at Ocean State Job Lot in Kingston. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was passionate about candlepin bowling and bowled in multiple leagues until she was 90. She loved watching the Red Sox and General Hospital, and also enjoyed PGA golf. She was a life long fan of Perry Como. She participated and enjoyed making crafts for many craft fairs.

Theresa was predeceased in death by her husband, Robert E. MacDonald, her parents, John J. and Eva M. Drumgool, her brothers, John Drumgool, Robert Drumgool, sister in laws Marilyn Drumgool and Nancy Drumgool. She is survived by her son Robert E. MacDonald, Jr. and his wife Wendi of Waltham, MA., her son John (Jack) A. MacDonald and his wife Kelly of Holland, MI., grandchildren Robert MacDonald and his wife Marisa, grandsons Greg MacDonald, John A. MacDonald, Jr., Adam L. MacDonald and Matthew E. MacDonald. Her brothers, Richard Drumgool of Florida, James Drumgool of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews. She was excited upon the birth of her first great grandson, Cal in October, 2021.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA. A service will be held at the funeral home immediately following visitation. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
