Obituary of Dianne Marie Wells

Dianne Marie (McSharry) Wells, 78, of Duxbury, passed away after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Braintree on June 22, 1943, to the late Thomas and Mary (Coveney) McSharry. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years Roger H. Wells whom she married October 19, 1968. She was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and graduated from Stonehill College with the class of 1965. She then obtained a Master’s degree in teaching from Bridgewater State College. Dianne was a beloved Math and Science teacher at Duxbury High School and cherished her many years at Notre Dame Academy where she taught Math and ran the Campus Ministry program. She was a life-long educator and tutored many students and young family members during her retirement. She was a Eucharistic minister, retreat leader and active member of RCIA at Holy Family Parish in Duxbury.  Dianne lived a faithful life and through her example always saw the best in others. Her home and heart were open to all that came into her life and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ellen Mann and her husband David of Milton, Susan Collins and her husband Christopher of Milton, and Carolyn Mosinski and her husband Joseph of Alexandria, VA. She leaves a legacy of eight grandchildren - Catherine and Michael Mann of Milton, John, Teddy, Patrick and Bridget Collins of Milton and Joseph and Rory Mosinski of Alexandria, VA. She is survived by 11 brothers and sisters and the late Patricia LaConte, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 7, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, Ma. Burial will follow in Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury. Calling hours are Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston.  In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to: Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, Ma 02284.
