Susan Capehart, 76, Born and raised in Middleboro, MA, Passed away on 1/28/22. 

Susan Washburn married Thomas Harshani in 1962 and had 3 children. They spent 23 yrs together. Susan's 3rd child was born with downs syndrome and she spent the rest of her life as an advocate and caregiver both professionally and personally. In the 70's and 80's she dedicated her time to The ARC of blackstone valley in Pawtucket, RI. as a volunteer where she was recognized by many state officials for her service to the disabled. She also had a bit of a gypsy lifestyle in her during her mid life and moved and lived in NC, FL, IN,  and then back home to MA. She later married Keith Capehart and settled in E. Wareham, Ma. where she cared for her disabled husband but always dreamed of when she could travel next to visit her grand babies.

She is survived by her Spouse keith capehart. She is also survived by her loving children, Julianna Eagan and  spouse Micheal Eagan, James Harshani, and Timothy Harshani. She was the grandmother of Nicole Whitcomb and spouse Jeremy, Jessica Tierney, Christina West and spouse Wyatt, Kristin Russo and spouse Jason, Tracey Harshani, Keith Harshani and  Joshua Booth. She was also the loving Great grandmother  to Abagail, Tanner, Kensington,  Lilimae, Bellamy, Keith jr., Damien,Anabel,Aliyah, Mason, Elijah.

She is also survived by her siblings,  Donald Washburn, and Robert Washburn.  Nieces and nephews, Dale Washburn, Donald Washburn, David Washburn, Darryl Washburn, Daniel Washburn, Robert Washburn, John Washburn, Ralph Washburn, Karen Washburn, Michelle King Pike, Colleen Flood. She was Predeceased by her Spouse, Thomas Harshani, Sibling Brad Washburn and nephew Mark Flood. 

In lieu of flowers donations appreciated to assist Tim with his future living arrangements.

 

Memorial visiting hours will be held on February 11, from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston.
