Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The world is just a little bit less now, with Barbara Anne Sylvester Hauber no longer in it. She joins her husband Joseph Martin Hauber Jr. in her everlasting rest. She is Oma to her grandchildren, Barby to her  friends, Aunt Barby to her nieces and nephews, and Mom to her loving children. She was also a Milkmaid with her closest friends. She delighted in each of these special identities with those whom she loved.

She was born in Braintree, MA where she lived for 48 years. She then moved to Duxbury, MA where she found her true home. Barby and Joe retired to New Port Richey, FL but returned to Massachusetts when Joe’s health was failing. She lived with her oldest son Matthew and his family for several years until she was once again able to move back to Duxbury.

One day after her 92nd birthday, she passed away in her sleep on Saturday January 29, 2022 with her devoted daughter Meg at her side.

Beloved by her children, Matt and his wife Jane, Mark and his wife Laurie, Meg and her husband Sean, Luke and his wife Gretchen, Beth and her husband Moe, John and his wife Marcy, Martin, Dan, and daughter-in-law Amy.
