Please share a memory of Muriel M. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Muriel M. Fairweather, 99, of Kingston, MA passed away on January 3, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born in Braintree, MA, September 25, 1922, the daughter of Henry and Ethel (Stickells) Chrystie. She moved to Quincy, MA where she graduated from North Quincy High School and was then a longtime resident of Abington, MA, where she was an active member of the VFW. She lived in Kingston, MA for the past 36 years. A lifetime member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, she was well known for her beautiful flower gardens featuring peonies, iris, and in early spring her favorite, daffodils. She was a lover of cats, including her cherished Lulu, and also enjoyed playing blackjack and bingo. She was kind and generous, had a quick sense of humor, and was always ready with a witty comeback, teasing comment, or terrible pun (or as she put it, “Two thirds of a pun—P.U.”). She was predeceased by her husbands Alan E. MacDonald, Robert C. Howard, and William R. Fairweather, Jr., and is survived by her sons Bruce MacDonald (Suratin “Jeng“ Rianpracha) of Vancouver, BC, Canada, Mark MacDonald (Ann) of Cary, NC, and Douglas MacDonald (Mike Ewin) of Hadley MA, and by her two beloved grandchildren Heather MacDonald of Washington, DC, and Matthew MacDonald of Houston, TX.  Family prefers no services at this time. There will be a celebration of Muriel's life later this year when flowers are blooming in her garden.
