Obituary of Loretta D. Doiron

Loretta Doris Leblanc Doiron.  (Her nickname was “LaLa” because some of the grandchildren could not say Loretta)  Age: 96 years old.  Passed away in her sleep on December 11, 2021, at the Wingate Assisted Living Facility in Kingston, Massachusetts

Loretta’s birth certificate states “Marie Doris Loretta LeBlanc” (or LaBlanc on another certificate).  She was born in Somersville, Connecticut on July 4, 1925, to Philip and Laura LeBlanc and moved back to Belliveau Village, New Brunswick, Canada a few years later.   Loretta graduated from eighth grade and worked at a number of jobs from the Vocational school in Hanover, Massachusetts, seamstress for the original Puritan Clothing in Rockland, Massachusetts, to Supervisor at Hewlett Packard for twenty plus years.  Loretta was involved with the Defenders Drum and Bugle Corps in Rockland, MA.  She also belonged to the Hanson Seniors and enjoyed walking, gardening and singing in the chorus and putting on shows in costumes for the different holidays.

Loretta is survived by her four children, Kenneth (and wife Dawn) Doiron from Bloomsberg, PA., Gerard (and wife Reueta (deceased)) Doiron and children and grandchildren, from Lakewood, WA. and U.S. Samoa Island,  Ronald (and wife Alaifata) Doiron and children from Lakewood, WA. and Marilyn (and husband Gary) Russell from Carver, MA.  Loretta is also survived by many nieces and nephews from the United States, Canada and the U.S. Samoan Islands.   Loretta is preceded in death by her husband Leon Doiron, three sisters; Louise from Wayland, Jeanine from St. Joseph, New Brunswick, Canada, Lorraine from Ontario, Canada and  her brother Arsene LeBlanc from Waltham.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 17th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Kingston. An hour of visitation will take place on Friday before the funeral mass from 8:30-9:30. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 18th at Lakeview cemetery in Wayland at 10:30 AM. 

Memorial donations may be made to Disabled Veterans, Heart Association, Cranberry Hospice or Alzheimer’s.  The family would like to thank the members and staff of the Wingate Facility of Kingston, MA. and Cranberry Hospice of BID Plymouth, MA.
