Harriet S. Broadbent (Dean) 75 of Kingston MA, previously of Plymouth MA, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021 at her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born to Harry and Sophie A. Dean, raised in Kingston and graduated from Silver Lake High School. She married the love of her life John E. Broadbent and went to have her daughter Lisa S. Broadbent and John E. Broadbent Jr. Harriet was a girl scout leader, worked in many retail stores doing what she loved putting together clothing outfits and store fronts of clothing and home goods. Harriet loved to cook and feed people she loved and devoted much time at Matthew's Kitchen through St. Mary's Parish in Plymouth, MA. Later in life she became a cook for St. Mary's Parish in Plymouth and then later moved to Holy Family Church in Duxbury, where she loved to take care of "her boys" making their favorite dishes and decorating the rectory with beauty and elegance. 

She is predeceased by her husband John and daughter Lisa. Harriet is survived by her son John E. Broadbent Jr. and his wife Kristina of Kingston their 2 children John E. Broadbent III and Sophie M,. Broadbent also of Kingston. Her sister in law Helen Niemi and brother in law Herbert Broadbent along with many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many many loving friends that stood by her side until the very end that she treasured.

Harriet loved her home and was so very proud of the home she made and the incredible gardens she tended to with love and dedication. She was so incredibly talented with her artistic, floral, and design creativity and held a very strong faith.

She will be missed by all that knew her and all the lives she touched sometimes with out even knowing it. Her parting words will also be remembered "Consider yourself hugged".

Visiting hours will be held Saturday October 2, 2021 from 8:30 - 10:30 am. A funeral Mass will be held at 11am at Holy Family Church, Duxbury MA with a burial at Vine Hills Cemetery Plymouth, MA.
