Elaine Cravenho of Kingston, died in Venice, Fla., on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was the wife of George D. Cravenho; mother of Christine Mascott of Mashpee, Richard J. Cravenho of Kingston; grandmother of Leann Cravenho of Kingston; sister of Lucille Brogna of Duxbury, Karen Shea of Fort Myers, Fla., Lois Amendolare (deceased), Joan Conway (deceased), Leo Amendolare of Olympia, Wash., James Amendolare (deceased), Lynne Nardella of Salem, Thomas Amendolare of Plymouth and John Amendolare of Pembroke. She was the daughter of Ornofio T. Amendolare and Kathryn Crossen.
 

Elaine was educated at Msr. Ryan High School, Dorchester, Stone Hill College, BS, St. Vincent Hospital School of Medical Technology, Bridgewater State College, master's degree in Medical Health. She worked as a clinical chemist at Quincy City Hospital and an Adjunct Professor at Bridgewater State College. Elaine was active in the community in her hometown of Kingston. She campaigned for her husband for Selectman and Water Commissioner, was the first woman to serve on the Town of Kingston Board of Health, served 18 years on the Kingston Finance Committee, was a member of the Capital Planning Commission and was a fundraiser for the Democratic Town Committee. Her hobbies were reading, cooking, team trivia, softball and gardening. Elaine was an original member of the Kingston Garden Club. She enjoyed wintering in Venice, Fla.

Services are private. Donations in her memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
