Kyle & Madison,
Words cannot begin to express the tremendous loss and void experienced by us all by your Dad’s sudden depart. Truly, there was not a more generous man when it came to entertaining and family events—either at the cottage or at home, or of course during the holidays. A favorite to many, Steve was the fun and light; the anchor and entertainer behind any family gathering, and the baton carrier behind many favorite traditions.
There are too many fond memories to share in one public post, but his presence will be deeply missed and immeasurable to replace. I am so thankful for having had him as a cousin, a friend and confidant for all these years; a simple man, who lived by virtues (not found in many these days), his lessons in family bond, living a humble, hard-working life, while still finding joy in the simple little things—like gardening, grilling, and candy store runs, Mary Lou’s coffee, and Far Far’s ice cream, are just a few examples that help sum up the kind of generous, playful cousin and uncle he was to myself and his nephews.
We love you Steve. Thank you for ALL the tremendous memories you helped create. ‘Til we meet again, may you RIP—reunited back with your family we know you adored. . Love you buddy! Will never be the same without you. ~ Lissa
