Daniel "Danny" McDonald, 50 years old of Carver, MA passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2021 in his home surrounded by family and friends. Dan fought a year-long battle against G.I. cancer and always held strong.

 

Danny was born in Boston, MA to Paul and Margaret McDonald on March 24th, 1971. He attended Old Colony RVTHS and graduated from Machine Shop in 1990. Danny worked at Olin-Aegis then Jet Products as a machinist. He worked as an EMT at Carver EMS for 10+ years. Danny then went on to become a Medical Officer, then a Corrections Officer at Plymouth County Sheriff's Department for 20 years.

 

 Danny is survived by his loving wife Bridget and children Hannah (19) and David (17) McDonald of Carver. His parents Paul and Margaret McDonald of Bradenton, Florida and brother Darrin McDonald of Texas as well as mother-in-law Gail Bennett of Carver. Danny is preceded in death by his close friends Douglas Stone, Charles Bean, and Michael Poirier. 

 

Danny was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. Dan loved to golf and go shooting at Plymouth Rod and Gun Club. He loved to walk on Plymouth beach with his beloved wife Bridget.

 

Visiting hours for Danny will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. Carver, Ma on Monday August 9, form 3 to 7pm, A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday August 10, at the United Parish located on Main St in Carver followed by a Burial at the Lakenham Cemetery in Carver.
