Obituary of John N Young

John Young, 85, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2021. John was the son of the late Herman Young and Dorothy (Roby) Young. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Dorothy (Young) Angley, Bernard Young, Edward Young, Herman Young Jr, and Richard Young. Beloved husband of the late Sandra Young, cherished father of the late Shelby (Young) Robertson and Kevin Loring. John is survived by his children, John Young Jr., of Fall River, Marylue Young, of Carver, Carla Loring and her partner Roy Eaton, of Plymouth, Chris Loring and his wife Maureen, of Middleboro, and Caryn Duncan and her partner Jeffrey Howe, of Plymouth, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Known as "Bubba" to his family and friends, he could usually be found playing solitaire, listening to the police scanner, or enjoying a cold Bud Light while he watched the Red Sox or the Patriots. He also loved to play bingo and would always be the first to arrive at family parties. In his younger days, John enjoyed playing softball, darts, and camping with his family.

A private graveside service will be held at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children's Fund, c/o Caryn Duncan, at Rockland Trust
