Mary Patricia McCartin, 101, of Pembroke, passed away on June 23, 2021. Beloved wife of the late John Hudson McCartin. Beloved Mother to Mary Taylor of Hanover, Nancy Dewey of Rockland, Margaret MacQueen of CO, Patricia Lockney of Auburn, John McCartin of Halifax, Joseph McCartin of Carver, Theresa Carmody of Kingston, and the late James McCartin. Daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Doherty) Gorman. Cherished Grandmother to 14 and Great Grandmother of 30. Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mary loved cooking, crafts, bingo, her cat and loved to visit casinos with Las Vegas being her favorite. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family. Being very patriotic during the WWII era Mary was a USO dancer that loved Frank Sinatra and Big Band tunes.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 30th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 1st at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Parish, 272 Main St, Kingston. Graveside services will follow at 12:45 at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
