Obituary of Patricia Ann Poturnicki

Patricia Ann Meade Poturnicki, 82, Duxbury, MA, passed away on April 23rd in her home.

Patricia was born in New Haven, CT to Harold W. Meade and Margaret V. (DeNucci)  on September 14th 1938. She attended high school at East Haven High School and graduated 1956. She worked as an electronic assembly technician for a number of years at Bradley Semi Conductor in Hamden, CT. where she met her husband to be. 

After her marriage to Alfred S. Poturnicki in 1960, they relocated their family with 4 children to Duxbury, MA in 1967 where they have resided for 54 years.  Together they celebrate 61 years of marriage. 

She was passionate about her volunteer work, especially at the maternity ward in South Shore Hospital  where she helped see her first grand child come into this world. She loved gardening, country music, bowling, and most of all, loved to travel to visit her family in places such as CT, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Denver and her repeated business trips with her husband to the islands of Hawaii.

Patricia is survived by her husband Alfred Poturnicki of Duxbury, her three daughters; Paula Araiza of Duxbury, Karen Poturnicki of Duxbury, and Patricia and  Robert Wetherbee of Buda, Texas, her sister-in-laws; Mary Poturnicki of Gilford, CT, Margaret and Klaus Lenhard of Alpharetta, GA, her brother-in-law David Poturnicki of Charlotte NC, her grandchildren; Mark Trudeau of Duxbury, Jason Araiza of Duxbury serving in the US Navy. Her nieces Ellen, Kim, and Peggy.  She is preceded in death by her son Mark Poturnicki, her Father Harold W. Meade, Step mother Josephine Meade and brother Richard A. Meade.

Memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Program. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to HOSPICE of the South Shore and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

There will be a private Graveside service,  with a Memorial service to be held at a later date.
