Marion G. (DeeDee) Shepherd, passed away on February 25, 2021. Born March 6, 1929 to Fred and Marion Bussell. Her stepfather was Fredon B. Howard. She had three brothers; Fred, Lloyd and James Bussell and three sisters, Evelyn Zenivich, Shirley MacFaun, and Florence Sears, all deceased.

She graduated from Pembroke High School in 1947. She married Joseph J. Shepherd of Pembroke in May of 1948. She had three sons, Joseph J. Jr. from Monument Beach, MA, Peter B. and wife Diane of Kingston, and the late Timothy S. of CA. She taught Sunday School at the Bryantville Methodist Church for several years and as the past president of the fire Auxiliary Co. #5 in Pembroke for several years. She was active and held many titles in the Order of the Eastern Stars.

She has six grandchildren; Kerianne Smolinsky, Michelle Norwood, Matthew Shepherd, Peter Shepherd, Kristina Johnson, and Timothy Shepherd, Jr. She also has nine Great Grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Joseph and Marion lived in a house they built in Pembroke for many years. They moved to Marston Mills and after retirement moved to South Meadow Village in Carver. Marion loved gardening, working in the woods, card games, cooking, puzzles, and knitting. She was an avid admirer and collector of birds/animals especially cardinals, bluebirds, and frog figurines. She always loved the summer when she could go swimming at the pool. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no services due to Covid-19. In lieu of cards and flowers please donate to your favorite charity in her name.

Burial services will privately be held by the family later this year.
