Obituary of Kalliopi “Paula” J. Mellinger

Kalliopi "Paula" J. Mellinger (Xidias) of Kingston passed away on February 28, 2021 at age of 88.

Paula was born in Salonika, Greece. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry G. Mellinger; sister Mirella Naddaff; and brother Sotirios Xidias.  She was the daughter to the late Nicholas and Ourania Xidias; sister of Jack Xidias of Quincy. She is also survived by a son Gary N. Mellinger, and his wife Amy, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Taylor, and Jillian, and many nieces and nephews. 

Paula enjoyed spending time at the Kingston Senior Center doing crafts and spending time with her friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren.  She loved gardening and cooking and taking care of everybody.  She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. on Friday, March 5th from 11:00 to 12:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 12:00PM. Graveside services will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kingston. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to go to the Council of Aging in Kingston, Massachusetts.
