Obituary of Carol Ann Ranney

Carol Ann Ranney, 72, of Pembroke, MA, passed away on January 30, 2021 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital Boston, MA.

Carol was born in Boston, MA to Frederick and Edna Hayes (O’Brien) on January 14, 1949. She went to Roslindale High School and graduated in 1966. She went on to earn a degree in Computer Servicing Technology from New England Institute of Technology. Carol worked as an IT Technician for Rite Aid for many years. She enjoyed photography and interior design. Carol had quite the talent for home improvement.  She enjoyed helping her friends with many kitchen and bathroom updates. She was an avid boater and would have fished every day if she could.

Carol is survived by her Life Partner Cindy Davino of Pembroke. Her son Gene Ranney and his wife Robin and grandchildren Maddie and Ben who reside in Florida.  Her sister Linda Karter of Mansfield and her lifelong partner George Beal. Her brother Rev Frederick Hayes and his wife Rev Patricia of Waldoboro, ME and nieces and grand nieces.  She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother Frederick and Edna Hayes (O’Brien)

Memorial donations may be made to Dana Farber to assist with a cure for Ovarian Cancer.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring nurses and doctors of Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
