Obituary of Corey A. Russell

Corey Alexander Russell, 43, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Born in Newton, MA and raised in Brockton and Halifax, MA. Corey was a devoted husband, father, and loved spending time with family. He enjoyed cooking on the grill, being outdoors, photography, and taking family day trips. He was famous for his “Russell Shortcuts” and short cuts they were not. He was the kind of guy who would help anybody in need.

Corey worked for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare for 19 years and was involved with Boy Scout Troop 39.

Preceded in death by his father, Douglas Patrick Russell; he is survived by his wife Victoria Elizabeth Russell and son Cameron Alexander Russell, by his mother Janice Mary (Russell) Casey and her partner Charlie Todd of Halifax, MA, by his siblings; Derrick Patrick Russell and his wife Karen of Brockton, MA, and Tracey Ann Doyle and her husband Christopher of Milford, NH, by his father- and mother-in-law; John Berger and his wife Elizabeth of Marshfield, MA,  by his sister-in-law; Alexandra Hegde and her husband Vikram of Quincy, MA, by his brother-in-law; Max Berger of Quincy, MA, and by his nephews and nieces; William Patrick Russell, Anthony Joseph Russell, Anika Hegde, and Viyona Hegde.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, MA. Those who would like to attend the burial, it will be at Halifax Central Cemetery, Halifax, MA at 12:00 PM.

A Celebration of Corey’s Life will be scheduled in the future when it is safe to gather.
