I was a friend of the Benway family and especially Terri. She always had a smile and was very upbeat. Sometimes their house on Indian Trail was crazy! But, I loved going there talking to Terri and also her mother. She always treated me like an adult not a kid. I'll never forget that. One thing I truly regret is putting of going to see Terri. We kept in contact through Facebook and a few letters. Both of us we need to meet and catch up on old times. It seems like yesterday we were wating for the bus to go to school, laughing and what was going on in school. Terri and only one other from Silver Lake high were the only ones I kept in contact with. She will be so missed. Seemed like she had so much on her plate, but always kept busy and cared for people. My heart reaches out to her immediate family as well as her mother. I can still hear her dad yelling for "Elnah, Elnah!". So sorry.

My condolences to her entire family. Have many fond memories from being on her tennis team. She was such a nice person and great coach. God Bless.

Mrs Rak was one of the most positive and energetic people that I ever had the pleasure to meet. She was a loving mother of her boys and always able to find and emphasize the positive — even in seemingly hopelessly bleak situations that her sons (and their friends) managed to create. She’ll be greatly missed by many, including me.
