Obituary of Mary Eleanor Critch

Mary Eleanor “Ellie” Critch, 74, of Kingston, MA, formerly of Marshfield, passed away on Monday, December 28th surrounded by her loving children.  She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick William Critch.  She is survived by her children, Cheryl LaVallee and her husband Michael of Carver and her son Kevin Critch and his wife Amy of Swampscott.  She was the loving Mammy of Ryan, Sean, Kyle, Kendall, Ashlyn and Brayden who she loved dearly.  She also leaves behind her only sister Diane Hale of Carver, sisters-in-law, Doris Bertino and her husband Ed of Kingston, Mary Barry and her husband Joe of Quincy, and many cherished nieces and nephews and many close friends.

She was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain before moving to Marshfield in 1962.  She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1964.  She worked for the Duxbury Public Schools as Head Cashier for over 30 years before retiring.  Her happiest times were spent vacationing with family, attending family gatherings, and spending time with her grandkids.

Visiting hours be held at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  On Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. there will be a prayer service for immediate family members only due to COVID-19 restrictions; however, Family & Friends are welcome to gather at Shepherd Funeral Home for a procession to the cemetery at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at Hull Village Cemetery, 5 Nantasket Avenue, Hull, MA, and all are welcome to attend.
