Obituary of Corradina Romano

Please share a memory of Corradina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On December 20, 2020 Corradina “Penny” Romano succumbed to illness and died peacefully surrounded by her children. Devoted mother of Michele and husband Todd Kelley of Halifax, Chrisanne and husband Mitch Wilson of Plymouth, William Schuchard of Acton and Amy and husband Jamie Carey of Pownal, VT. Beloved Grandmother of Elicia, Blake, Max, Jacob, Angela, Evan, and Nolan. Beloved sister of Ellie Powell of Murieta of CA. Penny was predeceased by her parents Corrado and Mildred Romano of Hingham and her brother Don and his wife Sue Romano of Hingham and her brother-in-law Jim Powell of Murieta of CA.

Penny followed her love of art and expressed her talent in various mediums including oil paints, charcoal, and sculpting and many enjoyed her lovely creations.  Her eye for beauty came in handy with her ability to decorate and shop with her daughters. She had a great sense of humor and was an amazing cook. She happily prepared large family dinners over the years and always had pets in her home that were well loved by all.

With her strong Christian faith, she started her days with her Bible, and gave back to the world with her hand in God’s work.  She proudly served as assistant director of “Friends of the Unborn” maternity sheltering home for more than 25 years helping to save hundreds of Moms and babies.

Penny never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for immediate family members only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Corradina Romano’s name to “Friends of the Unborn” at P.O. Box 692246, Quincy MA 02269.
