Obituary of Robert L. Phillips

Robert L. Phillips, 72, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020, while surrounded by his loving family. He was welcomed with open arms into heaven by his son Jeffrey.

Bob was a lifelong Weymouth resident, born July 2, 1948, the youngest of 9 children to George and Dorothy Phillips.

Bob was proud to have retired from Buckley Associates after over 30 years of employment there.

He enjoyed New England Sports, westerns, talk radio, and beach combing with his metal detector.

He was a devoted family man who also maintained friendships with his childhood friends.
Bob adored his grandchildren and his greatest joy was watching them compete in football, baseball, softball, and musical activities.

He was the proud father of his daughter Jennifer Ruzzano and her husband John of Carver, his son Jason Phillips and his wife Terri of Mansfield, TX, and his late son Jeffrey Phillips. Adoring Grampy to his precious four grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye; Jadyn, Jacey, and Joshua Ruzzano, and Austen Phillips. Bob is also survived by his former wife Jane  Phillips as well as his many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
