Obituary of Nancy (McGee) Golden

Nancy (McGee) Golden, of Kingston, Massachusetts and winter home of Englewood, Florida, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on November 27, 2020.

Nancy was born in Charlestown on March 3, 1942, to Francis and Edith McGee.  She graduated from North Quincy High School and enjoyed traveling, cooking, cross word puzzles, and keeping up with current events.  She was an amazing wife, mother, and Nana.  Her greatest joy in life was raising her children, spending time with her grandchildren, extended family, and friends.   Nancy had a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit.  She had the ability to light up a room and make everyone feel welcome.  Nancy was generous, kind, selfless, and would help anyone in need.  To her family she demonstrated a level of strength and compassion that will be missed more than words can express.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Robert A. Golden, her daughter Stacey (Golden) Lesher and her husband Michael of Scituate, her son Daniel (Chris), and his fiancé’ Beckie, of Pembroke.  Loving Nana to her grandchildren, Andrew, Anya, Stephen, Jimmy, and Christian.  She is the cherished sister of Michael McGee and his wife Maureen Connolly of Dorchester, Massachusetts, and Karen (McGee) Dearth and her husband Greg of Moultenboro New Hampshire, and was predeceased by her brothers Frank, Paul, Richard, David, Kevin, and her sisters, Patricia and Edith.

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Wednesday, December 2, from 10:00 to 12:00PM. A graveside service will directly follow at Saint Joseph cemetery, Kingston.
