So very sad to hear about George's passing. We were friends and colleagues for more than 20 years. We were fellow members of South Shore Women's Business Network, where he was widely admired and respected. He was my client for many years, as I helped him brand his business with logos, graphic design work, and his website. He advised my husband and me many times when we had small legal problems we wanted to run past him.
I loved his corny lawyer jokes.
One of my fondest memories was recently when we completely redid his website. We decided to get a professional photographer and get really good photos of George. I wanted to get across what a kind, gentle, GOOD man he was. So we traipsed all over Duxbury trying different outdoor settings... against brick walls, out in a field, under trees, etc. We finally lucked out at the Duxbury Senior Center, where we took LOTS of great photos. George joked all day that he felt like a fashion model, as we posed him in various places, adjusted his tie so it was perfect, and so on. It was a gorgeous warm sunny day, and we had such a good time.
I will always think of him as a genuinely good, decent man. He was kind and honest and supportive at his profession. He was a great father and husband, and loved his family more than anything. He talked about cows, and cooking, and swimming. The world has lost a great man. Huge condolences to his family.

Brenda and I met George three years ago through the internet. He represented Brenda as her lawyer. I personally have met and worked with dozens of lawyers in my career. Never, and I mean never, have I or we met a person who had such high ethical standards combined with extraordinary empathy, competence and professionalism. George took a very complicated situation and plotted forward, always taking Brenda's feelings into account. Over our three year period working with George, we grew to truly love him.
Professionally, George was able to accomplish exactly what Brenda needed to be accomplished. It was clear from the first day that we walked into the Chief Justice's courtroom that the Chief Justice had huge respect for George and his ethical standards. When George spoke, the Judge listened because the Judge knew that George only spoke what he believed to be true.
George will live on in our memories until we join him one day and hug each other again. We grieve with George's family and hug his loved ones in sharing the sorrow of his passing. What a great great human!
Sincerely,
Stephen and Brenda Leopold

My husband and I met George several years ago because he helped us with our estate planning and trust. He was recommended to us by our CPA. Sometimes, it's hard to trust people you really don't know, especially in a professional situation. That was not the case here at all! Right off the bat, we could tell George was an honest and humble lawyer who knew his business well. We knew we wanted to continue working with him for whatever legal issues came up. We continued to work with George this past year when I needed help with my parents' estate planning and trust. The last time we saw him was in May. He looked good and he was doing a great job.
We were so sorry to hear about George's passing. I just read his obituary, and nothing in it surprises me. We could tell, without knowing his background, he was a great and honorable man.
Love and prayers to his entire family.
