My heart goes out to her family at such a difficult time. Karen was a wonderful writer and dedicated researcher for the Pembroke Historical Society for many years. Her passion showed in her work, as her legacy lives on. It’s a great loss and she will be sorely missed. Shannon Wilson

I want all Karen's family and friends to know how important her historic research services were and will continue to be for the town of Pembroke. As the current Research Director at the Pembroke Historical Society I rely on her research and publications every day to answer the many questions we get from Pembroke residents and people from all over the country and in other countries. She has made my job much easier and I am grateful. I now have the challenge try to fill her shoes.

John (and family) I am so very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed hearing stories at the front desk of fun times you had while traveling, special times with the grandkids, etc. all with Karen by your side. I am keeping you and your entire family in my thoughts and in my prayers during this very difficult time. May she rest in peace.
