Obituary of Martha Josephine Griffiths

Martha Josephine Griffiths, 87, of Kingston, Ma passed away on July 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard F. Griffiths. Martha is survived by her children, Karen Griffiths Wilson of Brant Rock, Marshfield, son in-law Kevin Patrick Wilson and Dr. Richard F. Griffiths and his wife Jennifer of Elgin, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Franklin Arnold and baby Richard Arnold. Martha was born on February 28, 1933 to her parents, the late Eugene C. and Josephine Arnold. Martha is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Kara Marie Wagner and husband Christopher of Fountain Hills Az, Kaitlin Martha O’Brien and husband Michael of Hanover, Ma and John Francis Wilson of Brant Rock, Marshfield; Great-grandchildren, Savannah, Izabella and Tobias Wagner. 

Martha was born and raised in Jamaica Plain Moss Hill. She spent many happy years Summering in North Scituate and Nahant. Martha married Dick and raised her young family in Chestnut Hill. She then settled into Duxbury for many years and spent her senior years in Kingston. She was dedicated to her family and her Catholic faith. Kindness and a smile were her hallmark. She was extremely loving and proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Martha will be greatly missed by many. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury on Friday, July 31, at 10:00AM. Interment will directly follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, 30 Broadway St, Arlington, MA.
