Please share a memory of Shawn R. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shawn R. Petitti, 50 of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 19th after a brief illness. He was born January 11, 1970 in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his parents, Barbara A. Petitti and William A. Petitti as well as his brother, Scott W. Petitti. He is survived lovingly by his three sons, Tyler S., Jacob A. and Dylan J. Petitti all of Plympton; his sisters Sharon J. Petitti-Callanan of Halifax, Sheryl A. Petitti of Wareham and his brother Steven J. Flaherty and his wife Rebecca A. of Bradley, Maine; two nieces, McKenzie M. and Delaney J. Callanan of Halifax and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

Shawn was a 1988 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School in Kingston. He worked for many years in the printing business and as a landscaper for TR Reske Landscaping in Rockland. But most recently he was employed at Colonial Saw in Kingston.

Shawn had a passion for being involved in his boys’ lives and coaching their sports. He volunteered much of his time coaching with Plympton Athletic Youth Sports. He was an avid member of the Men’s Softball Leagues in Plympton, Carver & Hanson and an active member of the Hanson AA.

Anyone who knew Shawn would appreciate his friendliness, quick wit and generosity. His greatest legacy undoubtedly are his three sons who he would do absolutely anything he could for. They are the best reflection of their father.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Kingston on Thursday July 23rd from 4:00PM-8:00PM with a remembrance starting at 7:30PM. Due to COVID, the family is asking for all guests to follow CDC guidelines and maintain social distancing. Burial will be private.

A memorial fund will be set up  in Shawn’s name to help defray funeral expenses and for his sons' higher education.
