Obituary of Harvey Young

Harvey Young, 92, of Carver, passed away on April 28, 2020. He was the loving husband of 59 years to the late Eileen (Evoy) Young. He is survived by his children Kenneth young of Nashua, NH, Linda Davenport and husband William of Plymouth, MA and the late Cheryl Welch. He was the grandfather of William Davenport, Kevin Davenport, Andrew Welch, Timothy Welch, Courtney West, Kenneth Young, Keith Young, Jacquelyn Doucette Bush, Jennifer Wayne and the late Brian Davenport. He was also great grandfather to 13 great grandchildren. Harvey was born on June 13, 1927 to his parents, the late Harvey young Sr and Sayde (Hopkins) Young. Harvey grew up in Cambridge, MA. He lived in Watertown and Holbrook, MA. He then moved to Carver, MA where he lived for 41 years. He was a Merchant Marine, Local 25 Teamster until retirement, after which he was a school bus driver in Carver. Harvey led a very social life along with his wife. He was a member of the Elks and American Legion. He liked to Travel on what they called getaways. They spent winters in Tucson Arizona and Florida. He enjoyed playing cribbage, pool, bingo, days at the beach, grandchildren and many friends. Harvey was an avid reader and loved watching old western movies.
