Obituary of Mary C. Crowley

Mary C. (McGrath) Crowley, 89, of Plymouth County, died peacefully on April 19, 2020 at the Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham, MA. following a long illness. The daughter of the late John McGrath and Margaret (Doucette)McGrath of Duxbury, Mary lived in Bridgewater, MA for a number of years before retiring to Kingston, MA. She was predeceased by her beloved companion, Maurice P. (Moe) Foley, and is survived by her seven children: Eileen Thompson, Robert Crowley, Michael Crowley, Kathleen Currie, and, Peter Crowley, all of Massachusetts, and Maureen Crowley of Connecticut and Paul Crowley of Maine and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A long time employee of Massasoit Community College, Mary was active in local democratic politics and served as an assistant registrar of voters in both Bridgewater and Kingston. She was an avid reader and gardener. She and Moe traveled extensively, experiencing the world from Tasmania to Egypt and most everywhere in between. Her energy, enthusiasm and warmth will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, at act.alz.org
