Obituary of Brian S. Kehoe

Brian S. Kehoe, 55, of Kingston, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 1st. Born in Boston on July 11, 1964, he was the son of the late Daniel and Sandra Kehoe of Duxbury, Mass. He is survived by his brothers Scott Kehoe of Duxbury and Paul Kehoe of Brewster, Mass.; his sister-in-law Alicyn Kehoe of Duxbury; and niece Bridget and nephews Andrew and Daniel, all of Duxbury. Brian was raised in Duxbury. He graduated from Duxbury High School in 1982, where he excelled in soccer, basketball and track. In 1986, he graduated with a marketing degree from Bentley University where he also played soccer. Brian enjoyed a successful, 30-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as the district manager for the Boston sales team of Biohaven Pharmaceuticals and previously at Teva and Takeda. Brian was a mentor to those who worked for him and he nurtured the careers of many in the industry. Family was most important to Brian and he was the host of many holiday gatherings. To his brothers, he was a role model, protector and confidant. He delighted in being an uncle, attending sporting events and dance recitals as well as organizing outings to parades and apple picking. Brian was unfailingly decent and caring. He was the rare person who was competitive and confident in his athletic and professional endeavors yet selfless and humble in all things he did. When he was younger, Brian was the first one to approach a new student on the first day of school or to console a classmate experiencing difficult times. He maintained many lasting and deep friendships. He regularly gathered friends from high school, hosting summer cookouts at his pool or arranging large dinners at local restaurants. He opened his home to anyone who needed a place to stay. Brian’s friends cherished his loyalty and generosity, and took comfort in his unassuming manner. He laughed easily and brought joy to a room. His jokes were never at the expense of others and most often aimed squarely at himself. Due to the restrictions caused by COVID-19, there will be a private grave side service and interment at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
