Obituary of Donna J. Barboza

Donna J. Barboza, (Little Mama), 53, passed away on February 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her loving husband David Barboza. Donna is survived by her son David Murphy and his wife Whitney. She is also survived by her siblings Deb McCormack and her husband Brian, Diane Campbell, and Walter Dunbar and his wife Paula. She also leaves behind her best friend and “sista” Beth Cellini. Donna is survived by her stepfather Alan Allsopp and step brother Adam Allsopp. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Rob Campbell and his wife Julie, Natalie and Lucas Dunbar, and Tyler and Caitlin Allsopp; and her loving cat Devil Dog “DD”. Donna was born October 25, 1966 to her parents, the late Fred Dunbar and Barbara Allsopp. She was also preceded in death by her brother Paul Dunbar, step sister Brittany Allsopp and her pets, Lexus, Boots and Sophia. Donna was a resident of Plympton and graduated from Silver Lake in 1984. She previously worked as a chef and manager for The Charlie Horse in Kingston and was also an event coordinator for Plymouth Bay Catering until she retired in 2008. Donna loved to tend to her vegetable garden, landscape her large yard, lounge by the pool, and have a good time. She was well-known for her generous heart, Summer parties, culinary skills, and wild nature. Some of Donna’s hobbies include motorcycle riding, fishing, horseback riding, and metal scrapping. Memorial Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Tuesday, March 3, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Upland Club, 76 Upland Rd, Plympton on Wednesday, March 4 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s name can be made to the American Liver Foundation.
