PATRICIA ANN (PERO) CULLITY PEMBROKE – Patricia Ann (Pero) Cullity passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 following a brief illness. She was predeceased by the love of her life “Billy” (William) Cullity, Sr. of Pembroke in 1992. Pat was born in Boston, MA on April 26, 1942, the eldest child of the late Ernest and Edna Pero. She was a graduate of St. Gregory’s High School Class of 1959 in Dorchester, MA. In 1961, Pat married her Billy and made a home and a life together in Pembroke, MA, raising a family. She worked at the U.S. Postal Offices in Pembroke, Hanover, Rockland and as Postmaster at White Horse Beach in Manomet, eventually retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. In retirement Pat became a tour guide with ITMI where she served as Treasurer making many new friendships and sharing her love for travel. She also served as a chaperone for the Imperials Drum & Bugle Corp. and attended both St. Thecla’s and St. Joseph’s Church. Those who knew Pat would agree she was the true definition of a matriarch. Above all and most important to her was spending time with family & friends, entertaining at her home, the “hub” for all holidays, cookouts, and family gatherings of any kind. She will be most remembered for her generous and thoughtful spirit and her take charge attitude, which earned her the nickname of “The Boss”. Pat loved exploring her family history and kept a thorough accounting, detailing the family ancestry. She loved playing cards, Bingo, her time spent at the casino, cruising and vacationing with her beloved Billy, family and friends. She is survived by her children William Cullity, Jr. & wife Lisa Spellmeyer Cullity (Pembroke), Daniel Cullity & wife Marykate (Burke) Cullity (Whitman), Michael Cullity & wife Diane LaSpada Cullity (Whitman), Lisa Drennan & husband PJ Drennan (Pembroke), Kevin Cullity & his partner Tracey Doonan (Pembroke), Dennis Cullity & his late wife Christina Cullity (Middleboro); and 12 grandchildren Kristen, Timothy & Steven Cullity, James & Sean Cullity, Justin Cullity, Kathryn and Jared Drennan, Patrick, Aaron and Garrett Cullity, and Alyssa Moore. She is also survived by her three siblings William and wife Suzanne Pero (Whitman), Charlie Pero and his late wife Noreen Pero (Dorchester) and Mary Crawford and her late husband William Crawford (Abington), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and grandnieces/nephews. She also leaves her dear friends Robert and Donna Pimentel and her companion and black lab Toby. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Kingston on Monday, February 3, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 4, at St. Joseph’s Church , Kingston at 10:00AM. Interment will directly follow at the Center Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s memory to any charity of your choice. Please feel free to share with the family your reason for that charity and what it represents to you.
