Obituary of Victor H. Bedard

Victor H. Bedard, 79 of Carver, MA died November 16, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved to all who knew him, Victor was the youngest of ten children, happily married 60 years to his loving wife Sandra (Adonis) Bedard. Father to Donna, Robert and Joanne; grandfather to Shane, Andrea, Steven and Alexandria; great-grandfather to Nolan, Nash and Kai. Also survived by his two sisters, Gloria and Priscilla; and many nieces and nephews.

Served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic on the B-52 bomber at Westover Air Base during the Cold War era. Upon leaving the Air Force, Victor worked at numerous machine shops before settling at Texas Instruments retiring 19 years later as a Class A Toolmaker.

Victor’s passion was repairing and restoring old machines, bringing them back to life. He also enjoyed fishing, wildlife, playing horse shoes, riding his bike and playing his guitar, watching old cowboy shows and most of all spending time with family and friends sharing stories of life growing up on a farm.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM with a service set to begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 22nd at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver.
