Please share a memory of Joshua M. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joshua Michael Lindquist, 30, formerly of Kingston, MA, passed away on September 11, 2019 at his home in Mount Laurel, NJ.

Joshua is survived by his parents Michael and Valerie Lindquist of Kingston, MA, brother Nicholas Lindquist of Kinston, MA, grandmothers Anne “Grammy” Lindquist of Halifax, MA and Sylvia “Mimi” Boyd of Plymouth, MA, his first cousin and best friend, James "JD" Levesque of Duxbury, his Aunt Lauren and Uncle Mark Levesque, and cousins Chelsea, Victoria, Dylan, and Lily Levesque, Uncle Mark Lindquist and Aunt Cathie Schmidt, Aunt Moira and Uncle David Bartlett and cousins Andrew and Ryan Bartlett, Uncle Paul and Aunt Alison Lindquist and cousins Nicole and Ashley Lindquist, Uncle Peter and Aunt Bryane Lindquist and cousins Bryce and Brody Lindquist, Uncle Peter and Aunt Lauren Showstead and cousins Justin, Brian, and Kyle Showstead, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Renee Showstead and cousins Luke, Logan, Thomas, and Caleb Showstead, Uncle Michael and Aunt Christa Showstead and cousins Kevin and Steven Showstead.  He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles "Whitey" Lindquist, David "Buppa" Showstead, and Chester "Chet" Boyd, and his cousin Heather Levesque.

"Josh" was born in Weymouth, MA to Michael and Valerie Lindquist on September 10, 1989. He went to high school at Silver Lake Regional High School and graduated in 2008 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Bridgewater State University.  Josh recently moved to New Jersey to join the firm Signature as a marketing representative.

Joshua was an avid fan of the Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics, but was also an accomplished athlete in his own right as a football player, baseball player and captain of his High School varsity ice hockey team.  It was not uncommon to read local newspaper recaps of local sports mentioning Josh’s outstanding play.  He had a huge heart and was known to stick up for others against the pressure of bullying; at the same time, his playful passion was lovingly annoying his little brother and his late grandfather “Bup”.  Josh was a “Foodie” and loved enjoying concerts and attending various music festivals.  He also had a passion for reading, with his greatest enjoyment being the “Game of Thrones” book and tv series.

His truest joy was spending time with friends and family - this included activities like watching sports, and playing cards with the family elders at his Great-Great-Aunt Aggie’s house, but also he would never pass on an opportunity to enjoy a night cleaning out his best buddies in a game of Texas Hold ‘Em.

Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston from 4:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral service will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury, MA.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to friends and family as we remember and celebrate Joshua’s life.
