Dearest Jane, I just read in an article in Lincoln County News
10/29/20 that you lost Pete last year. I’ve never forgotten you and Pete from years ago! I was very fond of you and adored his music and band!! They were joyful days. I’ve even seen your courtroom art on TV. My very belated sympathy is with you. What a fabulous couple!! (My darling George died 19 yrs. ago. We had a great run.) Love, Mary (Mare) Betterley, Damariscotta (maredb73@gmail.com)

May Peter rest in the sweetest peace. Peter was a charismatic individual that brought light to every single day. Talking with peter was a highlight of my day at work and he will be dearly missed. Fly high, Peter.
Deepest condolences for the Collins family.

Deepest condolences for Pete’s passing. We are missing his presence and happy manner here on Crocker Lane. It is so quiet. He will be fondly remembered at the Olde Bristol Days.

Dearest Jane and family,
You have my heartfelt prayers for you all at this most sad time. Pete will be greatly missed by all who enjoyed his music, clarinet playing and singing voice. I know my Rusty will be glad to see him again in that place in heaven where all musicians go.
Big hugs to you Jane. Love, Patty Kempton, Pemaquid, Maine

From loyal friend to consummate entertainer, Pete played a leading role in so many lives. He spread a lifetime of joy through his witty humor and his music. He even had his own language. We never tired of hearing him count to ten or describe someone as “feeling a little tiddlyboo.” Who could ever forget Ugly Child and the green can?????
