Obituary of Josh V. Overton

Joshua Verlin Overton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was 30 years old.

Josh is survived by his wife, Jackie Peterson Overton, parents Angie and Joe Overton, brother Jordan Overton, father-in-law Bob Peterson, mother-in-law Melissa Hodgdon, brothers-in-law Bobby and Ricky Peterson, grandmothers Margie Cutter and Bonnie Overton, and many other family and friends that love and will miss him dearly.

Josh was born on May 4, 1988 in Indianapolis, Indiana and lived there until he met the love of his life Jackie and relocated several times with her. For the past four years they’ve lived in Dover, NH with their cats Miley and Riley and Josh worked in distributing for the Craft Beer Guild of NH in Portsmouth. 

Josh loved playing and watching golf, traveling the country, visiting breweries, spending time with Jackie, family and friends, and enjoying just about every sport, especially his longtime favorite the Oregon Ducks and becoming a fan of the Boston Red Sox since living in the northeast.

Josh was an incredibly special young man and was adored by everyone he met. He had the warmest smile and best sense of humor that kept everyone around him laughing. Josh radiated kindness, was incredibly thoughtful and got joy out of the littlest things in life. It would be difficult to be in his presence and not simply be happy. His loved ones hope you will remember him that way. 

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Friday, April 26, from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27 at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 10:00AM.
