Obituary of Joan C. Francke

Joan C. Francke, 87, passed away March 12 peacefully at her home in Duxbury. She was the loving wife of the late Hugo Francke. Joan was a resident of Duxbury for the past 65 years. After a long career as a case manager, she enjoyed volunteering at the Duxbury Senior Center. She had a love for Duxbury beach, travel, animals, and her family (not necessarily in that order).

She was predeceased by her husband Hugo Francke, Sr. and her son Hugo Francke, Jr. Joan was the loving mother of Heidi Francke of Boston, H. Gilbert Francke of NC, Julie Veach of OH, Amy McCullough of NC, Jon C. Francke of D.C., Eric W. Francke of Plymouth, Lucy E. Francke of Duxbury, and Wendy Francke of CA. Sister of Ruth Handel of FL, Janet Crowley of Hanson, Rosemary Cook of Pembroke, and Mary Ellen Mitz of CA. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Family Church, Tremont St., Duxbury on April 5, 2019 at 1:00PM.
