Frances (Lynda) Brenda Barber-Lang 1947-2019

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother 

Frances (Lynda) Brenda Barber-Lang, 71, of Carver, MA, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer onThursday, February 28, 2019 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth, MA with her loving family by her side.

Lynda was born April 8, 1947, in Dalton in Furness, Lancashire, England. Lynda moved to the United States in 1978 with her revived daughter, Michelle Goldberg and joining her mother, the late Sarah McCann, aunt, the late Kathleen Jones and cousin, the late Geoffrey Jones. After moving to the States she expanded her family with the birth of her daughter Hayley Barber and began her career as a factory worker at Telco Systems, Norwood, MA.Lynda possessed many talents most of which were inspired by her creativity and artistic ability. She prided herself on always looking her best and often appreciated a “good laugh.” 

Lynda cherished time spent with her family. She was a remarkable cook and prepared many Sunday dinners as a way of bringing the family together. She treasured her family and embraced every possible moment with them. 

The values she so admittedly instilled in all of us will live on for many generations to come.

Lynda is survived by her devoted husband Terrance Lang; her adoring daughters Michelle Goldberg (Day) and Hayley Barber; her loving grandchildren Matthew, Ryan and Carly Goldberg; her doting son-in-law Daniele Goldberg; her cherished aunt Eileen Brown (McCann); her caring cousins Mary Wallace, Marie Hale, Julie and Susan Courtney, Carole Oliver (Athersmith), Nicola Parrington (Brown), Thomas Graham, Stephen and Jeff Brown, and Ian Athersmith; and her dearest friend Donna Hailey as well as many, many more. 

Family and friends will love and cherish Lynda’s strong will and good heart for ever. Her memory will live on in all of us.
