Paula Crouch passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019 at Blue Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, MA. Born on July 3, 1935 in Brockton, MA, she was the daughter of Paul E. and Stella M. Cushman. Attending Brockton public schools, Paula was also active in Rainbow Girls where she rose to the position of Worthy Advisor.

After high school, Paula graduated from the Chandler Secretarial School and worked in Boston until her marriage in 1955 to Richard E. Swann. Dick and Paula soon bought a home in West Bridgewater and raised their family there. When her children were older, Paula began work at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton MA in various secretarial positions. It was there that she met her second husband, Jerry D. Crouch. They were married in 1985 and moved to Carver, MA, where they lived until Jerry’s passing in 2015.

Paula leaves her two sons, Randy and his wife Stina of Lakeville, MA and Mark and his wife Mary of Portland, ME., as well as her son-in-law, David Maisch of Foxboro, MA. Her daughter, Pamela Maisch, pre-deceased her in 2018. She also leaves eight grandchildren, including Ethan Swann, Caleb Swann, Joshua Smith, Tyler Smith, Haley Smith, Lydia Swann, Maggie Swann and Jackson Swann, and two great-grandchildren, Leo Swann and Maxwell Smith. Paula was a strong and independent force and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation is at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Carver, MA on Monday, 1/14 from 4PM to 6PM, with a funeral service immediately following at 6PM. Burial will be private. Donations in Paula’s memory can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org/gift.
