Obituary of Julie H. Hazen
CARVER – Julie H {Lemire} Hazen, 67, of Carver, passed away peacefully on Friday January 4, 2019 after 5 weeks of hospitalization with complications after a heart surgery.
Julie graduated Class of 1969 Bishop Cassidy HighSchool, Taunton where she excelled in the French club and was known for her individuality and laughter. She was employed with New England Telephone Co. “Ma Bell” and AT@T for 22 yrs. and then spent the next 18 yrs. in technical careers the last 9 of them traveling daily as a Field Trainer and Marketing Development with SONY Electronics Inc.
Known as “Memere” to her son Ben’s two beautiful grandsons Porter and Oliver to whom Julie had babysat, they were the joy of her life. All who knew her will remember she was always putting others before herself. As a faithful Catholic she also prayed for others with the Rosary daily. Her creativity shined in her knitting skills.
Julie leaves behind too many including her mother Henriette [Melancon] Lemire. She was the devoted, loving and thoughtful wife of 46yrs to Fred P Hazen whom will miss her more than anything in this world. She was the loving mother who never stopped and was always there for her three children, Alex Hazen of Carver, Ben Hazen and his wife Kerri [Johnson] Hazen and daughter Natalie Hazen both of Plymouth. She cared and loved her sister Jeannie and husband Richard Martin of Swansea and their children niece Marie Dwyer, nephews Brian Dwyer and Luke Martin and their respective families. She will now be with her late brother Michael Lemire. Julie will also be dearly missed by many extended family and close friends from high school, work and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Carver.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver MA on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 10, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main St, Carver, MA at 11:00AM.
