Robert J. “Mack” McCormack Jr, 80, passed away on January 2, 2019. He was married to his beloved wife Martha (Johansen) McCormack for 60 years.  He was born in Roxbury on May 13, 1938.He was the son of the late Robert J. & Ruth (Larsen) McCormack. He is survived by son John McCormack & wife Eve of Windsor, CO,  Paul McCormack & wife Laurie of Newburyport, MA,  Richard McCormack & wife Jodi of Carver, MA,  daughter Joyce & husband Scott Augustson of Carver, MA, David McCormack & Maureen Maliff of Duxbury, MA.  He has 11 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.  He has two sisters Elaine Bean, Mildred Adamik, and also predeceased by brother, Frank McCormack. He was a Member of Ruggles Street Baptist and Whitman Baptist.  He volunteered for all activities involving his children. He coached ice hockey and was a scout leader.  He was also an Instructor at the Smoke Enders Program at  Brockton Hospital, an avid fisherman and active member of several fishing clubs as well as a Certified teacher of fly-tying at the Mitchell Club.  He loved nature, outdoors and conservation. Bob was a Sergeant in the 11th and 82nd Airborne and was stationed in Germany. He worked as an auto mechanic at Rockland Ford, Muzzi Ford followed by a career in the US Postal Service as a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor.

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston  on Thursday, January 10, from 4:00 to 7:00PM. A Memorial  Service will be held at Rockland Baptist Church, Rockland on Friday, January 11, at 10:00AM. Interment will directly follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
