Fred W. Doyle, 88, of Bryantville, passed away December 24th while surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lois Doyle. Loving father to Fred Doyle Jr. and his late wife Nancy (Nihill) Doyle of Pembroke, Richard and his wife Jill Doyle of Kingston, and Kurt and his wife Diane Doyle of Franklin. Son of the late Fred and Ethel (Graham) Doyle. Brother to the late Rev. Robert G. Doyle.

Cherished grandfather to Meaghan, Hayden, Graham, Rebecca, Elizabeth, John, and Katie. Great-grandfather to the late Jenna Doyle. Fred was also survived by his extended family and friends.

Mr. Doyle retired as Chief of Police in Pembroke after 38 years of service. He served as the Town of Pembroke Constable. He was a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Police Chief's Association. He was also a member of the Massachusetts Fraternal order of Police. He served on the Board of Trustees of Bryantville Methodist Church and was also a member of the Masons. Mr. Doyle served in the United States Army Corp. He enjoyed vacations in Sanibel Island with his wife Lois, and he took pride in his home, and working in his gardens.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 29th from 2:00-6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., (Rt. 14) Pembroke.

A funeral service will be held at the Bryantville Methodist Church, 546 Mattakeesett St, Pembroke, at 1:00 PM on Sunday December 30th  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bryantville Methodist Church, PO Box 447, Bryantville, MA 02327.
